On March 24-26, 2025, in Dubna, the Russian Federation, the Vietnamese delegation led by Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of Vietnam at JINR attended the meeting of the Plenipotentiary Representative Committee of JINR. Other members of the delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Trung, Director of the Institute of Physics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Son, Deputy Director of the Institute of Materials Science and MSc. Tran Thi Vo Quyen, expert of the International Cooperation Department of VAST. In addition, there were two representatives from Science and Technology Department of the Embassy of Vietnam in the Russian Federation.

The meeting focused on discussing international cooperation plans, progress of key research projects and budget adjustments for the following year. Member countries also shared experiences and discussed strategies for developing basic and applied science in the coming time.
In addition to attending the official meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh attended a meeting with Academician Sharkov – special representative of the JINR Director on international cooperation to agree on issues such as establishing the JINR Information Center in Vietnam, promoting cooperation between Vietnamese scientific units and JINR, as well as allocating funds for topics from the Plenipotentiary Representative’s fund to promote scientific development and training.

The working trip of the Vietnamese delegation to JINR went well and contributed to affirming Vietnam’s commitment to actively participating in international scientific research activities and promoting comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam, JINR and member countries.
