On the occasion of attending the Plenipotentiary Representative Meeting of the Dubna Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) met, visited and encouraged the team of Vietnamese researchers, postgraduates and students studying and working at JINR. The meeting had the presence of 2 representatives from Science and Technology Department of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, the VOV press delegation and the Vietnam News Agency in Moscow. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving many good impressions.

At the meeting, Vice President Tran Tuan Anh grasped the research status, work and life of the staff, and at the same time gave directions to improve the effectiveness of research activities and develop the Vietnamese research group at JINR in the coming time. Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh encouraged the researchers to actively participate in JINR’s major projects, and at the same time strengthen connections with domestic research units to transfer technology and knowledge.
The highlight of the meeting was the award ceremony for researchers with outstanding achievements in 2024. Three young Vietnamese researchers (Luong Ba Vinh – VBLHEP, Mai Quynh Anh – FLNR, Nguyen Vu Minh Trung – DLNP) were honored for their outstanding contributions to JINR’s international research projects and high-quality scientific publications in prestigious international journals. This achievement of young Vietnamese scientists at JINR affirms the increasing research capacity of young staff.
